Ashfield Community Golf Course

Hole 1 at Ashfield Community Golf Course is a perfect way to get acclimated with the course. A 286-yard downhill Par 4, the first at Ashfield will test your ability to stay left -- and out of the greenside bunker. 

 

Hole 2 presents a brand new challenge. At 289 yards, the second Par 4 at Ashfield is the opposite of the first. Straight uphill with a tree impeding a direct line of the tee, Hole 2 forces you to choose a side and keep your yardages dialed despite a significant incline. 

 

Hole 3 is the first Par 3 at Ashfield Community Golf Course and a challenging one at that. Another downhill shot, the third green sits 201 yards from the tee and is guarded by a pair of greenside bunkers with thick rough long of the back edge. 

 

Hole 4 and we are going back uphill. A 317-yard Par 4, the fourth at Ashfield requires a strong, straight tee shot in order to see the green. If not, a blind second shot at the pin could leave you in the bunker guarding the front edge or into the rough and trees long of the hole. 

 

Hole 5 is another test for another facet of your game. At just over 100 yards, the second Par 3 on the course features a slight incline to the green with bunkers on both the left and right. Get the ball up to the green and it will be smooth sailing. Fall short and you’ll end up with one of the most difficult pitch shots the course has to offer. 

 

Hole 6 is a 200-yard Par 4, but don’t be fooled by distance. A 200-yard shot here could be perilous, with a severe downslope off the back of the green and into the trees. A layup could land you in the greenside bunker. The sixth at Ashfield is a test of strategy, especially with a narrow, tree-lined fairway. 

 

Hole 7, a 185-yard Par 4, poses similar challenges. With a fairway sloped entirely left and into the trees, #7 at Ashfield requires a precise tee shot and often an even better chip shot over a ridge and into a bowl guarding the green. 

 

Hole 8 is the longest hole at Ashfield Community Golf Course. At 341 yards, the eighth hole rewards distance but still requires the precision needed throughout the course. With an elevated tee box and trees to both the right and left, this Par 4 can be a rollercoaster. 

 

Hole 9 at Ashfield is a blind Par 3. At 156 yards, the tee shot is more-than-manageable but placement is everything. Short will land you among the fescue and the sloped ninth green can pull long shots off the back. Find the right line and you’ll be rewarded with a well-earned par (or better) as you wrap up at Ashfield Community Golf Course.
